How often does WebsitePulse.io check my site?
WebsitePulse.io checks your site on a regular schedule: every minute on paid plans and every 5 minutes on the free plan. Each check is called a pulse.
Pulse frequency by plan
- Free plan: 1 pulse every 5 minutes
- Paid plans: 1 pulse every minute
Each pulse sends a real request to your website from our servers, the same way a visitor would. We measure whether your site responds and how long it takes.
Why does pulse frequency matter?
Pulse frequency directly affects how quickly you're notified when something goes wrong. By default, we alert you after 2 consecutive failed pulses. On the free plan that means a ~10 minute delay; on paid plans it's ~2 minutes.
You can adjust how many pulses trigger an alert in your monitor's Alert sensitivity setting. The settings panel shows you the real-world delay for your plan so you can make an informed choice.
What time zone are checks in?
Pulses happen continuously around the clock. The times shown in your dashboard are always in your local time zone, based on your device settings.
Can I change the pulse frequency?
Not directly. The frequency is set by your plan. Upgrading to Pro moves all your monitors to 1-minute pulses automatically.
